Technical Institute of Materials and Constructions.
INTEMAC has a laboratory aimed at providing all types of services in the field of construction, which has more than 50 years of experience and is accredited by ENAC (technical annex no. 25 LE 039).
The Laboratory has the capacity to carry out all types of characterisation and evaluation tests on materials and structural elements, both for manufacturers of specialised or most common construction products, such as cement, aggregates, steel, mortars, concrete, prefabricated materials, ceramics and stones, etc., as well as for construction companies, properties, technologists or specifiers who need to verify quality. life or durability of such products.
The Institute’s Central Laboratory is entered in the General Registry of Test Laboratories for Quality Control of Building Construction of the Technical Building Code, with reference number MAD-L-030, in accordance with the Sworn Declaration dated 25/3/2011, presented at the Department of the Environment, Housing, and Land Planning of the Region of Madrid.
It also has equipment to carry out soil and rock mechanics tests and a large team of geologists and engineers for the development of the most complex geotechnical studies, as well as portable equipment for the performance of non-destructive tests that allow these activities to be carried out all over the world, supporting forensic engineering and construction pathology work.
INTEMAC also carries out structure monitoring activities (SHM), both to monitor their behaviour and to comply with the specifications set out in its maintenance plan.
The specialized services it provides include:

INTEMAC also carries out load testing and structure monitoring (SHM) activities, both to monitor their behaviour and to comply with the specifications set out in their maintenance plan. INTEMAC has recently acquired TEKNES Innovación, a leading company in the field of monitoring bridges, unique structures, tunnels and geotechnical works (slopes, entrances, etc.) that controls more than 60 structures in real time through more than 3,500 sensors of all kinds.
INTEMAC´s Laboratory has the ENAC accreditation that certifies that it complies with the requirements established in the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017. This standard specifies the general requirements for the technical competence of testing and calibration laboratories, ensuring the quality and reliability of the results they produce.
The INTEMAC Laboratory provides services as a Verification Laboratory in the performance of tests corresponding to the certification activities of construction products, both for obtaining the DOR (Distintivo Oficialmente Reconocido) and for voluntary quality marks, in the field of testing concrete, cement, fly ash, steel rebars, corrugated and plain wires, electrowelded mesh, basic electrowelded lattice reinforcement …

This accreditation is internationally recognized and provides customers and stakeholders with confidence that the results issued by the laboratory are accurate, reproducible, and supported by a robust and transparent quality management system.
The Central Laboratory carries out activities related to the initial and periodic tracking tests to obtain the CE Mark for construction materials, such as natural aggregate and mining slag, precast concrete elements, cement mortar, stone materials, ceramic materials, cements, etc.
